I'm Sam. Um the topic I want to talk today is how our government is run by the stupid and the greedy. And let me show you why. This is the world according to Sam. Malaysia is run by truly stupid and greedy people. Singapore, South Korea, China were far behind us economically uh by just about 30 years ago. And now they left us in the dust. Only stupid people can have 10 to 20 years of head start and fail the way that we did. Smart people can do things smartly. But can still be greedy. But smart greedy people are difficult to spot. [0:47] But stupid greedy people are so much easier to spot. I just give you one simple example. The economy of the United States of America is approximately 32 trillion dollars. Malaysia has an economy of about That means the US has an economy that is almost 68 times bigger than ours. A population of about 350 million compared to our 36 million, approximately a multiple of 10 times. Do you know what is the US territorial area compared to ours? It's 30 times larger. So, do you guys want to know how stupid is our government compared to the US? The American cabinet has one president [1:43] and a vice president and 15 cabinet positions that are basically heads of department. Malaysian government has one prime minister and two deputy prime ministers and a total of 32 cabinet ministers in all. And that also include the useless deputies. Double that amount, ladies and gentlemen. So, our government need double plus two extra cabinet position to run an economy 68 times smaller, a population 10 times smaller, and an area 10 30 times smaller than the great United States of America. If I was the prime minister, I would cut the cabinet to 10. [2:30] And I would eliminate all deputy ministers. Are we that stupid, or are we that wasteful, or our our people that gullible to allow our tax money to be thrown away by the government spending into this unnecessary unnecessary and unproductive ministries? And then each minister has their own deputy ministers, including all their personal and political secretaries in their team, paid by your tax money. And you wonder why the government keep asking for your money, and have no money for for more and better hospitals, more university and colleges, or schools at every corner of our nation with [3:20] qualities at the best facilities? If you pay your taxes late, you will be immediately fined. You may even go to jail. And yet the government has the audacity to take four years to pay back your overpaid taxes. Let me conclude to you on how many useless ministries exist in our government just from the top of my head that I can make vanish without much thought. I give you one, the Ministry of Unity. For what? The people are fine. The politicians are the cause of our disunity. Just get rid of all of them. Second, [4:02] law and institutional reform. What has it reformed? The parliament is where laws are formed and reforms are done. The PM can show issue orders for procedures to be done away with. This is an absolute redundant ministry that can be gotten rid of. Third, the religious affairs. These are state matters under the sultans. Get religion out of government, period. Leave the people alone with their religion. Four, four, Sabah and Sarawak affairs. Why? Why, for God's sake? They have their own premier, they have their own chief minister. Give them their due. Let them [4:53] run their own states. This is redundant. Sabah and Sarawak are not client state of a protectorate colonialist Malaya empire. Leave them alone. They are equal partners of Malaysia. Treat them as such at the highest level. Six, why do I need a domestic trade and cost of living ministry? This should fall under one coordinated ministry industry. Ministry of commerce. You look at making business easy and deregulated. What is water and energy transition? What is that all about? This is a private sector business, supply and demand and funding from deregulated banking and uncorrupt land [5:42] and state control of land and water resources. I can go on and on and on and on. But the fact is the simpler we make, the less regulated and control of our daily lives are, the less corruption and cronies we create. They will be destroyed. Rent-seeking will evaporate. Normal people will be able to get easy funding from deregulated and free enterprise financial institution for SMEs and micro business at each corner of the nation. The simple rakyat can make a living without being squeezed for fees and costs they don't deserve to pay to earn a living. Cronies and people with political power [6:35] cannot command their rent-seeking teeth and free money. I hope our rakyat be conscious of all these people who was who has power over all of us.
