# The World According to Sam – What Our “Leaders” Don’t Want Malays To Know (Episode 0) Published: 2026-07-03T08:39:09+00:00 ## Summary Sam Saad delivers a direct critique of Malaysian political leaders who exploit race and religion to keep the Malay community dependent and compliant. He argues that genuine Malay advancement requires shedding communal entitlement, mastering English, and aggressively pursuing secular STEM and worldly knowledge. By ditching quotas in favor of meritocracy and equal opportunity, Malays can compete on an equal footing globally. ## Key Takeaways - [0:06] Political leaders deliberately keep followers uninformed and uncritical to maintain control and prevent being questioned. - [0:38] Racial and religious background is an accident of birth, not a personal identity defined by character and achievement. - [1:35] Malays are fully capable of succeeding without special privileges and quotas if given equal access to opportunities. - [2:07] The government should enforce anti-discrimination hiring policies across both public and private sectors rather than relying on communal patronage. - [2:53] True advancement demands a relentless focus on worldly, evidence-based secular knowledge such as mathematics, science, and economics. - [3:41] Mastery of the English language is essential because the vast majority of global scientific and technical knowledge is published in English. ## Chapters 0:00 Why Leaders Keep Followers Ignorant 0:38 Race and Religion Are Not Identity 1:35 Capability Without Special Privileges 2:30 Pursuing Secular Knowledge and Merit 3:41 The Strategic Necessity of English 4:29 Moving Past the 3Rs ## Transcript [0:00] This is the world according to Sam. It's straightforward, honest, and brutal with the truth. Our so-called leaders are scared that Malays will get to be more intelligent than them. You see, the way to fool people is to keep them a bit stupider than you. That way, they do not question you and they just follow. It is more difficult to have smarter followers. They question you all the time, and you better have good answers or they dump you like a sack of potatoes. So, what are the most important thing these leaders do not want Malays to know? I'll give you number one. Your race and religion is [0:38] not your identity. Stop being proud of your race and religion. That is not you. Your identity is your personal character and your accomplishments. The reason you're being told that your religion and race matters is the people who are selling this lie wants you to buy it from them. The more they can sell it to you, the more you are dependent on them. They have you on a hook. Free yourself from the hook. Race is only a stroke of chance of being born here by certain parents of a certain religion. It is not even your choice. It just happens. So, go your own way. For every convert to your religion, [1:23] there is probably twice as many who converted to another religion. So, my fellow Malays, quit being hooked by those using race and religion. Keep that in your heart and be the best person and achieve in your life as a human being of great character like the rest of the 8 billion human beings on Earth. We are not special. We are just humans. The second point, Malays are capable without special privileges. We do not need special privileges. We need, like every other person in this nation who are our fellow citizens, equal opportunities for quality education, [2:07] jobs, and business opportunities. That is all. I repeat, Malays are capable and many other Malays are proof of this. The government need to just enact no discrimination policy based on race in hiring, promotion, or businesses, both in the private and the public sectors. Why do we want to work in the civil service anyway if the pay is less than what we can get in the private sector? Let's think about that. So, number three. Malays can achieve merit, but then to be of merit, as Malays, we need to focus on what is important and forego what is not. The focus has to be [2:53] relentless. We need to focus on learning and learning a lot from where you are from when we are young and continuously until you are old and work harder and smarter than everyone else. We do not need quota from the government or the government's help for this. Malays has to be continuously focused to be exposed to worldly knowledge, just like China did, just like Japan or South Korea, and today even Vietnam. This worldly knowledge or secular knowledge, physics, biology, chemistry, mathematics, economics, technical skills, rational and logical thinking based on [3:41] evidence, all of these are secular knowledge. Malays need access to materials, books, etc. that provide this knowledge. And the easiest access is through having the grasp of strong English. All this secular knowledge are 100% accessible to English. All right? It's in English, not BM, not Arabic, not Chinese. Not Chinese even. So, think about that. English is easy. So, keep reading everything in English from young. Teach your children to read, listen, watch things in English from young. Focus on secular knowledge. We want Malays to be a successful person. Learn [4:29] English and learn secular knowledge. Malays can and will do this if leaders are willing to let them know instead of hopping on the three Rs. Do not complain if we Malays are left behind if you do not agree or do with what I've just said. We did this to ourselves. There is a path to success. I've told you this. It is as simple as 1 2 3. Just do it. We have a country to save.
